CONCEPT

Every year Art has been changing, time brings in new topics, but some specific themes keep topical and timely through centuries – like Life, Love, Motherhood, Path of Soul. The human history is seen as a reflection of the attitude to the Woman – the way she was looked at, glorified and admired by arts, trying to solve her divine and incomprehensible Mystery. Images and faces created by artists have always brought about harmony of appearance and character. A woman was made a Muse to inspire artists, painters, poets who created and did great things and sacrificed for her.

The main criteria for the selection (as well as on a competitive basis) shall be a presence of a spiritual vector in an artist’ works. The Eternal Feminine idea is to be presented in either of its aspects, i.e. Sophia the Holy Wisdom, Virgin Maria, Sacred Motherhood, sublime images. The Eternal Feminine is to be presented as an inherent and equal part of Lords’ Creation’ including Beauty, Purity, Love and all-embracing harmony.

The exposition of the items shall also include beautiful soul-touching soundtracks, songs, poetry, quotations to make the exhibition visitors moved and Heaven inspired. Lectures and poetry readings on the Theme have been scheduled as well. We expect our guests and visitors to gain new experience and senses, to feel the Heaven touch and discover for themselves the World of Sophia Holy Wisdom. All that is needed badly now, as the world today is not easy to live in. We believe in connecting people based on timeless values, aspiration of the human spirit through the art, spiritual goal of life.

1. GENERAL REGULATIONS

• The present Regulations shall set the Goal and procedure of the Eternal Feminine International Art Competition (hereinafter referred to as “Competition”).
• Competition Organizer is “Eternal Feminine” Art Project. Co-organizer is “I.M.Astakhov Cultural Center”, GBUK of the City of Moscow.
• The Competition Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as “Committee”) shall organize and exercise the Competition.
• The present Regulations as well as the submissions and results of the Competition shall be posted on the project web-site http://конкурс.вечнаяженственность.рф , also on the websites of the Competition partners.

2. THE GOAL OF THE COMPETITION

The goal of the Competition is to introduce modern artists and their works to a wide audience, presenting their works on the Eternal Feminine Theme; to widely highlight the theme through the arts and make it understandable for the general public.

3. THE COMPETITION CONDITIONS

Any person older above 18 years old who creates art works within the Competition concept shall be able to apply for the participation in the Competition. Either professional or amateur works shall be accepted.
Paintings, graphic and sculpture works shall be accepted for consideration.
Selection criteria:
a spiritual vector in an artist’ works, the reflection of the creator’s religious world view of the (in a broad sense); images of various aspects of the Eternal Faminine idea –  Sophia the Holy Wisdom, Virgin Maria, Highest Sacred Motherhood, spiritually inspired females portrayed.
Other creative options include Heavenly Family (Heavenly Father, Heavenly Mother and The Son), Mother Goddess, Holy Dove, Holy Spirit, Sophia the Holy Wisdom, Virgin Maria, women in the Bible, sacral images within Christianity, the idea of Heaven to human Motherhood, spiritually inspired females portrayed, pure soul images, upward ascension of the human spirit, the male and female harmony.

No pornographic, violence and/or racist materials shall be accepted for the Competition.
The Jury shall not consider any works outside the Competition conditions.
The Competition Territory shall be Russian Federation, CIS countries and other states.
Once participating the artist indicates the acceptance of the Competition Regulations.

4. COMPETITION TERMS AND PROCEDURE

The Competitions shall be distant (in-absentia):
For the Competition there shall be accepted pictures (photos) or scanned copies of items, delivered as required in p.5 of the present Regulations.
The application form shall be submitted online: https://конкурс.вечнаяженственность.рф/en/the-application-form/
Should the on-line submission be by any reason impossible, a competitor shall send the application by post to the Committee address stated in p.10 of the present Regulations. If that is the case the application date shall be determined by the postmark on the stamped envelope.
The Committee shall send the applicant a notice of acceptance to the Competition.
No works shall be accepted to the Competition without the application form filled-in online (or sent by post).
The works accepted by the Committee for the competition shall be posted in the Committee website Gallery on  http://конкурс.вечнаяженственность.рф
A competition may submit several works to the Competition.
The participation in the Competition shall be free.
3 categories of participants in the Competition shall be provided for: professionals, amateurs and students.
The acceptance closing date shall be October, 27, 2019.
The list of winners shall be announced at the awarding ceremony on November, 24, 2019 and posted on the organizers and partners websites.
The winners of the Competition shall be able to expose their works in the “Eternal Feminine” International Arts Exhibition held in November-December, 2019.

5. REQUIREMENTS FOR WORKS SUBMITTED

An applicant shall submit no more than 10 items.
The work of art shall be put in electronic format (photographed or scanned) and sent as an attached file to the application form.
The acceptable formats: jpeg, tiff, png, pdf. Resolution over 200 dpi.
Each item shall be sent as a separate file no more than 20 Мб/each.
The file name shall include the last name and initial of the applicant, the title of the item, the year of creation. See an example: Johnson_O_P_Artwork_2010
Should the on-line submission be by any reason impossible, a competitor shall have the item shipped to the Committee address stated in p.10 of the present Regulations.  The item shall be shipped at the sender’s expense. The items shall not be returned to the applicants.

6. USE OF IMAGES

Submitting an application form an applicant shall give consent to the following: public demonstration of the works presented for the Competition, posting on internet portals, social network of “Eternal Feminine” Art Project  and the Project media partners; including in the catalogue, presentations, as well as the Competition audio-visual materials; work publication and presentation in various editions, internet, at exhibitions, mass media and other ads channels, in case it is done for the Competition subject popularization and promotion.
Uploading the file at the website the applicant shall authorize the Committee to save and use the downloads in our system till the end of the Competition, and to keep them after the Competition is over. The saved images shall be kept to be presented in other “Eternal Feminine” Art Project events and developments in the future. In any time after the Exhibition is over the participant shall be able to request for the images to be deleted. That shall be done in writing to art@eternalfeminine.ru, as well as by post to the Committee address stated in p.10 of the present Regulations. The images shall be deleted within 10 working days after the request receipt acknowledged by the Committee.

7. COMPETITION ORGANIZING COMMITTEE

o    The Competition Organizing Committee (hereinafter referred to as “Committee”) shall organize and exercise the Competition.

The Committee shall be the body responsible for the competition events holding and coordination, and for the organization, information and promotion activities within the framework of the Competition.
Committee Functions shall be as follows:
media coverage for the Competition terms and conditions;
preparing the Competition documentation;
conducting The Competition events;
proposing works to the Competition;
mass media coverage for the Competition results;
promoting the top-works within the Competition time and after it is over.

8. COMPETITION JURY

All the items presented to the Competition shall be judged by the Jury of professional artists, sculptors, community leaders, Organizing Committee members.
The  evaluation criteria:
relevance to the Competition topic announced;
artistic expression;
originality of the creative idea;
harmony of the color combination.
In parallel with the Jury evaluation public vote shall be provided for the website visitors to evaluate the competitors’ works at  http://конкурс.вечнаяженственность.рф.  The public vote shall determine the Laureate of “Audience Choice Award” Competition nomination.
The works shall not be reviewed, the Jury’s decisions shall not be commented on.

9. REWARDING OF WINNERS

The winners of the Competition shall be granted Diploma, prizes and presents.
All the competitors shall be granted Diploma.
Once the results are announcement the Committee shall e-mail the electronic versions of the Diploma in PDF (for-printing format).
Be a request of the competitor the Committee shall mail the printed Diploma (printing and Russia Post shipping shall be at the expense of the Competitor). The printed Diplomas shall be mailed within 3 weeks from the  Competition closing date).
The winners of the Competition shall be able to expose their works in the “Eternal Feminine” International Arts Exhibition held in November-December, 2019. The Exhibition is to be held based on the “I.M.Astakhov Cultural Center” Art Platform, located in Moscow, Russia. The Exhibition website: www.вечнаяженственность.рф

All the Competition participants shall have the right to attend all the “Eternal Feminine” Art Project event free – i.e. expositions, lectures, creative presentations, etc.
